Fun Things To Do In Oriental
On the surface Oriental, North Carolina may seem like a typical,
sleepy little fishing village lost in time, but bridal parties and
guests will be pleased to discover that there's a lot going on in
this deceptively quiet fishing village on the water.
Here's a link to the
Board of Tourism's main Website, where you'll find a list of the
year's events.
Take a high speed boat tour or a romantic sunset cruise. Or join
our licensed captains for an eco-tour of the many waters surrounding
Oriental, with dolphins and a wide variety of indigenous water fowl
to be spotted. There's fishing, kayaking, and sailing charters for
water lovers. For those who prefer terra firma, there are wine tasting
tours at our local winery, art galleries and unique gift shops to
browse and classic movies in a historic theatre with all the free
popcorn you can eat. Our theatre also hosts a wide variety of quality
music and theatrical performances.
And of course, you will find the most delicious seafood right off
the boats as they tie up at the docks. Fresh shrimp, tuna or perhaps
crab. . . it's coastal Carolina seafood at it's very best.
Oriental, North Carolina is proud to boast a wide range of professional
vendors who can create one-of-a-kind bridal teas and luncheons,
as well as a ceremony and reception to remember. We offer waterfront
locations as well as indoor venues. We hope you will drop by and
visit, look around, spend some time. We think you'll find Oriental
to be the perfect destination for an affordable waterfront wedding.
